The Resigner

At long last, the crew at Star's End is proud to announce the release of our newest laser sword, The Resigner! This project is five years in the making and was a collaborative process by many devoted friends and fans.  Including Roy from Wannawanga and Danny from Halliwax's Basement Builds.

Finally, I am pleased to offer the final version of Mark's hilt. The design of this laser sword took a lot of artistic license, departing from the classic hilt we all know and love.  It incorporated a completely reshaped body--far smaller and more delicate than the beefy hero and stunt props of the past. It has extra emitter details, merging the look of the knight and the general before him.  It represented a new grand master, that challenged our expectations of what the future of space fantasy would look like and deconstructed our childhood imaginings of heroism and resilience.

In the last image above, you can see some of the expert scaling and computer modeling that went into making sure the dimensional accuracy of this prop was second to none. 
 
The saber is machined from 6061 Aluminum. It is properly scaled to match the original prop in every detail. It is hollow to take electronics. It features both static and sound-vented pommel caps. And it has swappable emitter plates that allow the builder to install an fx blade without having to worry about any unsightly visible set screws hindering the prop's accuracy.

Please understand that this is a kit. It will come unpainted, unweathered, and unassembled and it will require some basic modeling skills to complete (painting, sanding, gluing). The kit will come with all the aluminum parts, a brass control box board, acrylic red and green triangles, a tri-ring, and a black Delrin control box side switch. You'll need to supply the paint and any aftermarket electronics that you wish to add.
This will be a very limited run, the smallest that I've produced in a decade. Please don't miss out.
